Cars Damaged by the Fruit Bandit-New York

Vandals in New Rochelle, Westchester County, New York, have been using fruits and vegetables to cause damage to parked cars.

A woman went to her car on Sunday morning to see her windows smashed. Inside the vehicle was a piece of melon.

There are other reports of cars having their mirrors taken off after being hit by pumpkins.

Some cars have less damage, having only been pelted by grapes.

Locals are calling the perpetrator the "Fruit Bandit."

Police say that the incidents have happened on more than one occasion during the last week. They say at least eight cars have been damaged and are urging any one affected to report the damage so they can get an accurate picture of the situation.
